My kind of movies is the comedy, drama, usually black-cast American films. My reasons for liking them, well I cannot pinpoint. One thing I love about the American and European movies is the fact that when a movie is advertised, the little part they show you is enough to get you to understand the movie, get interested in it and at the same time, not giving you the full story. They show you just enough for you to think you really have to watch that movie.

Ghanaian music has gone through a lot of metamorphoses. It is heartwarming that despite a lot of shrewd criticisms about making music that we can lay full claim to, we have some entertainers who can stand the test of time.

I heard about your Children’s Ball. The media campaign that followed it and the success of it has clearly showed that indeed you are a force to reckon with.

TECHNICALITIES IN MUSIC: MIXING AND MASTERING

There is an aspect of music production which many people so blindly ignore. It has to do mainly with technicalities of sound so not many people really understand it. Have you listened to good music through good speakers and have become baffled by the fact that you can hear a certain instrument in the left speaker but you cant hear it in the right speaker and vice versa?

GMA FASHION – GENTLEMEN, LOVELY. LADIES?????!!!

GMA has grown. Undoubtedly, it is Ghana’s major entertainment event. As usual, it was well planned but there were challenges that so overwhelmed the organizers that they had to look on helplessly as they could not contain the crowd. Those outside the venue simply refused to leave. They wanted to be part of it, the live event; they felt too associated with it to go away.

ANY DIVA IN GHANA?

In a country where titles are thrown about in a rather haphazard way, it sometimes comes with little dignity when deserving people re referred to with those titles.

CEO has become so common that corporate organizations are beginning to change this same title to Chief Operating Officer and others, in a bid maintain the dignity and responsibility that comes with it.

GHANA MUSIC AWARDS - AN OBSERVATION

JUST when the nominations list came out, issues started flying left right and center. Admittedly, the GMA has come far. There have been issues with it right from its inception. As dynamic as the organizers are, they made the necessary changes. GMA has grown. It is big. It is Ghanaian and I love it.
Appreciate what is beautiful and I must say GMA is beautiful as well. Criticisms come with appreciation. A pat here, a mistake pointed out there, changes are made here and there, GMA grows big and Ghana music gets to be celebrated every now and then.

ASSUMED DEMIGODS.

There seem to be a particular group of people whose successes forces the remaining public to see them as demigods. It is must be very dissatisfying that in one instance, they and others around them see them as humans enough, and very capable of committing mistakes, humanely possible mistakes. Then there comes a time when the public and the corporate world places so much premium on them that mistakes seems to be a no go area for their still human selves.

OPEN LETTER TO AYIGBE EDEM

I wouldn’t exactly describe myself as a hip life/hip-hop follower. I can only say I love good music. The language is not usually a barrier because I do listen to songs from other parts of Africa, I can barely understand the language yet I pay attention to them. This I do via VOA radio.
