Tomorrow, Thursday October 18th 2012, the Department of African Studies of the University of Ghana will play host to Prof Halifu Osumare, an Associate Professor of African American Studies at the University of California Davis in the United States as she makes a book presentation of her new book, The Hiplife In Ghana: West African Indigenization of Hip-Hop to a cross section of students, academics, musicians and interested persons.

Lexis Bill - Favorite Host on Accra's various Morning Programs on Radio



The host of the morning show on Hitz FM, Lexis Bill has emerged as the most favorite Host on Accra’s various morning programs on radio. This came up during a poll conducted by akosuasakyiwaa.blogspot.com over a one week period.

Lexis polled 50% of all votes cast while Joy Fm’s Super Morning Show Host, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah polled 33% of the polls.

The Osu Oxford Street in Accra has seen some of the most amazing and fastest transformations from a calm normal street into a bustling commercial center in a very short while. The street I remember used to have a few shops but commercial activities weren’t vibrant. The only restaurant I remember is Papaye.

Obrafour - Most VERSATILE Rapper

Obrafour, the Ghana Rap Sofo has been voted as the Most Versatile Rapper, gaining 42% of votes cast. He was in contention with Edem, Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie and Asem on a poll organized by akosuasakyiwaa.blogspot.com

Surprisongly, the current fastest rapper in Ghana, and argualbly the most popular polled 23% while Okyeame Kwame and Edem both got 33% each of votes cast.
